Yellow Label Pecan Pie

  • 1 C Pecan Halves (It’s puh-con, not pee-can, ok?)
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 C Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 Cup Yellow Label Syrup
  • t/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Side note: If you’ve never had Yellow Label syrup, I pity you. If there was a syrup war, Mrs Butterworth and Aunt Jemima could show up with a bazooka and Yellow Label would still put ‘em in the hurt locker. It’s a little hard to find, but Walmart usually has it.

Beat the eggs.

Mix in all the other ingredients.

Pour into an 8″ unbaked pie shell (yeah, store bought’s fine).

Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the center is set.

If you want to get really decadent, serve hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, caramel topping and cinnamon.
